Uruguay (38th) is the most prosperous country in Latin America and the Caribbean, ranking 16th in the world for Personal Freedom and 28th for Governance. More than 90% of survey respondents were satisfied with their degree of freedom to choose what to do with their lives.
Mali is 151st in the overall Prosperity Index rankings. Since 2011, Mali has moved down the rankings table by 20 places.
