Suriname is 82nd in the overall Prosperity Index rankings. Since 2011, Suriname has moved down the rankings table by 18 places.
Suriname performs most strongly in Natural Environment and Personal Freedom but is weakest in Health. The biggest improvement compared to a decade ago came in Enterprise Conditions.
